Migration

Europe is in the midst of migrant crisis. Illegal migration. Vast numbers of people have come to Europe but their exact number is unknown because many have passed undetected. The overwhelming majority are the economic migrants who move from one country to another to find a better living and have wellfare benefits. Distinguishing migrants from asylum seekers is not always a clear cut process. Europe tries to cope with a mixed migration phenomena.  Prosecution of smugglers must be pursued for homicides of hundreds of people who try to reach Europe in old overcrowded boats, rafts and vessels.  The route is hazardous. Human trafficking can be prevented by better control of borders. Policymakers want to reform Dublin Regulation and establish a common policy in Europe but it is not clear if the EU and the member states are capable to implement this long lasting asylum and immigration problem.  Leaders must address the root causes of migration like the end of the civil war in Syria, violance, abuses, poverty and conflict. Cooperation with the country of origin of the refugees can be a priority and perhaps the solution of the flood of migrants. Germany is the destination for migrants and it is also Germany that stands behind the distribution quota but at the moment there  is no agreement on the distribution of asylum seekers.  Hungary has  objection against resettling migrants.
Schengen laws allow countries to erect temporary border controls and reintroduce  internal borders.
Illegal crossings prompted Hungary to erect a barbed wire fence on the border to block the flow of migrants. Volunteers help migrants day and night and offer food, water, tents, clothe, medical help, interpreter services. Because of the vast number of the migrants, some countries do not have  the money and resources to shelter migrants and want greater control and safety in border regions.
The problem can worsen.

Hungary bulit a fence to protect its boarders. At the summer this was the most controversial topic so far. The government did not care about this, they alredy done with construction. I am very interested what did the other party said about the fence and the refugee crisis too. Because a couple of party said in Europe, that we should give a shelter for this people and building a fence is not a good idea. Not an European idea and also not to humane.
Everybody said what should not do to the hungarian goverment, but nobody said what would be the solution. I am trying to show some opposition viewpoint in this case, but it is really hard, because basically they said nothing.
According the Hungarian Socialist Party the hungarian government should negotiate with the European Union in this question. They also said, this is only a hate-campaign against the refugees. Maybe they are right, the government was not too helpful with the refugees, but what would be the solution instead of the fence? They did not say anything about it.
The other left-wing party Democratic Coalition said: will there be an electricity in the fence or do the police shoot the refugees too? Basically they tried to exaggerate the situation. But I have not heard a solution which comes to them. The other two left-wing party Together and Politics Can Be Different basically said nothing.
This was the first reaction to the fence, but after this they did not change their viewpoints. As far as I know none of the opposition parties offer a real solution instead of the fence.
Unfortunately in this topic I can not show you an opposition viewpoint, but maybe, if somebody says nothing that is a opinion too.
